Australia's high commissioner to Fiji, James Batley, has confirmed the ministerial contact group for Fiji will visit the island country next week.
The six member group is made up of the foreign ministers from Australia, NZ, Samoa, Tonga, PNG and Tuvalu.
They will be using the meeting to advise the Pacific Island Forum on whether Fiji should be expelled from the Forum, for refusing to hold elections next year.
It is the second meeting for the group and they're expected to be in Fiji from the 10-12 December.
Mr Batley confirmed the visit while addressing the Fiji Australia Business Council general meeting in Nadi.
