Attack on Solomons, RAMSI police deplored

Police chiefs in Solomon Islands have criticised an attack on police that has left seven officers injured.
Two Solomon Islands police officers and five Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands officers were injured when they responded to a call for assistance at the Honiara settlement community of Koa Hill on Monday night.
The acting commissioner of police, Peter Marshall, says he is angry and disappointed because the officers were carrying out normal duties when they were attacked by people using stones and sticks.
He says three men in their mid 20s have been arrested over the incident.
The commander of the RAMSI participating police force confirmed that RAMSI police fired several warning shots.
