At least 11 Indian soldiers are dead after an avalanche hit a training base in Indian-administered Kashmir.
The avalanche hit the Indian army's High Altitude Warfare School in northwest Kashmir, a mountainous region near the border with Pakistan.
Dozens of soldiers were buried in the snow.
Many were rescued but poor visibility and heavy snow is hindering efforts to rescue those who remain trapped.
Many roads to the area have also been blocked off due to the heavy weather.
About 400 soldiers are based at the camp which has reportedly been completely covered by the avalanche.
Australia goes to the polls on August 21.
