Obama rallying support for health vote

US President Barack Obama is rallying support for a final health care vote this weekend.

Sunday's vote is hanging on the support of just a handful of wavering Democrats.

The president has hailed this weekend's congressional decision on his health plan as the culmination of a century of struggle.

"Having had a tumultuous debate, having had a lot of folks who were sceptical that we could get anything done," he said.

"And right now we are at the point where we are going to do something historic this weekend. That's what this health care vote is all about."
