Violent protests by garment workers in Bangladesh

At least 100 people have been injured during a second day of violent protests by garment workers in Bangladesh, who are demanding higher wages.
Yesterday, garment worker unions rejected the government's offer to raise the minimum wage to 48 dollars per month.
Thousands of workers have taken to the streets of the capital Dhaka, looting factories and shops and setting fire to cars.
Police are firing teargas and rubber bullets, as well as using batons to try to disperse the protesters.
